BNP leaders’ residences vandalised, torched in Ctg

After the attack on the residences of education minister and mayor of Chattogram City Corporation, the aggrieved people attacked the residences of three BNP leaders, including BNP standing committee member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury, in Chattogram city tonight.
Two other leaders’ houses which came under attack are Shahadat Hossain, former president of Chattogram city unit BNP and Chattogram city unit BNP convener Ershad Ullah, reports our Chattogram correspondent.
Mohammad Idris, former office secretary of Chattogram city unit BNP, said some 200 people threw stones at the car parking of Shahadat Hossain’s apartment at Badshah Miah Road.
They also torched two cars and vandalised eight others in the parking, he said.
After that, the attackers also vandalised the residence of Amir Khasru at Mehedibagh area in the city, he said.
They also vandalised at the residence of Ershad Ullah in Panchlaish Residential Area,” Idrsi alleged.
However, the BNP leader blamed Awami League men for the attacks.
However, the correspondent could not reach the officer-in-charge of Panchlaish Police Station Santosh Chakma for his comment on the incidents.
